Love Notes

Dear Chris,

I Love You. So Much.

Mommy is sick today. I caught the cooties you had last week. This morning you said I gave the cough-coughs to you, then Sam said he gave them to me. I laughed. Really, I know I got them from you. You were in such a snuggly mood last week. You just wanted to be held, or cuddle in my bed or yours. Those moments are rare, when you just want to snuggle. I didn't care that you were coughing in my face. You had to go to Riley to see Mr. Doug with Daddy without me and Sam. But you have the kindest heart. You told me you going to write me a love note. We write Love Notes to put in your school lunchbox every day. And since I was going to be home sick, you wanted to leave me with my own note. Just the thought made me cry and hug you. But you insisted.



It reads:

Mommy
I hope you get better.
Love, Chris

I will. Love like yours makes me strong. I will get better soon. I love you so much.
