Daddy hadn't gone with us in a good year. This was the first time in quite a while that he was available to join us. And we had a great time. What a great opportunity for us to play.
We met up with our friends the Julius's in the Diego exhibit. It was the last weekend for it. I guess it's a Dora and Diego exhibit, but we don't care about Dora. We're all about Diego.
Sam and Sarah joined Chris in sorting nuts. I got to tell you, many jokes were floating through my head, but I can't remember any now. Just know that the kids did this for quite possibly a solid hour. And no one complained. And no one wanted to leave. It was that perfect.
But of course, eventually, everyone had to go home, and Chris had to say Goodbye to Emily and to Diego. It's almost the end of an era. With both of them going to kindergarten full time, they aren't going to be able to play with each other as much as they used to. But we may just have to try, Try Harder!
As we were leaving, Chris found an empty stage, and some Micheal Jackson playing in the background. And he couldn't resist the opportunity to Dance.
Sam and I were delayed coming down the exit ramp, and we found Daddy laughing at we didn't know were Chris's classically white boy moves. But before Daddy could explain the source of his mirth, I broke out in dance too. Eric just smiled that knowing smile, and told me, "I was going to say, I don't know where your son gets it."
I do.
